As part of the worldwide McDonald’s system serving 46 million people a day in a 121 countries around the world, the Smith Family McDonald’s owns and operates 8 restaurants in southeast Tennessee. The restaurants are located between Chattanooga and Knoxville.

Under the leadership and direction of family patriarch Hank Smith, the first restaurant opened March 7th, 1973 in Cleveland on 25th street. Today along with his wife Kathie and son Mark, that make an 8 restaurant company a truly a family business.

The Smith family is very involved in the Chattanooga Ronald McDonald house in Chattanooga and supporter of the Knoxville house as well. The family is involved in many charitable causes in the community.
